The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and myself were among the huge crowds cheering on the world’s top cyclist as the Tour De France began in Yorkshire this weekend.

The 198 cyclists left Leeds City Town Hall at around 11am on Saturday cheered on by a crowed of over 230,000 people who had packed into the city centre, the riders made their way to Harewood House an 18th century stately home for the official start of the race.

The cyclist were sent on their way in the “Grand Depart” travelling through the Yorkshire Dales covering 190km before reaching the finish in Harrogate.
