Spotlight On... Tippers and Bulk Excavations
11th September 2019
During our 159-year long history in the haulage industry, we have continually changed and adapted with the times. We started out operating Fowler traction engines powered by steam and have over the years transitioned from the first petrol powered Commer Tippers to our latest Volvo and Iveco Euro 6 tippers.
During this transition we were also one of the first companies in the Leeds area to offer pivot steer loading shovels, such as the Matbro Mastiff and Chaseside Loadmaster; as well as being founding members of the Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA) and Road Haulage Association (RHA).
Our 8-wheel tippers are all fitted with rear view safety camera systems as well as low emission engines to make them quieter and more powerful yet kinder to the environment. As well as having our waste carriers’ licence for safely transporting and disposing of waste; all our operators hold the appropriate CSCS and CPCS cards.
Over the years we have accumulated a variety of clients including many local and nationally known house building, construction, reclamation and civil engineering companies. We have built long standing working relationships with a number of these clients and we feel that this repeat business highlights the quality of service that we offer.
To assist our customers and offer a more complete service in addition to our plant, tipper and excavator hire we also provide add on bulk excavation services such as delivery of topsoil and aggregates. We are also able to offer more specialist solutions such as knotweed removal and root removal. Our 8-wheel tippers are available for muck shifts, planings, aggregates and soils as well as hazardous wastes. Everything we transport or remove from a site where bulk excavations are taking place is transported for use elsewhere or disposed of appropriately whether that be at a recycling centre or licensed waste tip.
As a part of our bulk excavations work, we can also provide operated excavators, backhoe loaders and concrete pulverisers & breakers. These tracked excavators are available with a wide range of buckets and ancillary equipment- our CAT 320EL has a 20-tonne capacity!
If you are in need of any of these services or just want to know more about what we can offer please call our office on 0113 253 2191.
